COMPLAINTS AND APPEALS PROCESS

The Lahore Journal of Business is committed to providing a fair and transparent process for handling complaints and appeals. We adhere to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (https://publicationethics.org/appeals) to ensure that complaints and appeals are addressed promptly, thoroughly, and impartially. This policy applies to complaints and appeals related to editorial decisions (acceptance/rejection of articles), allegations of research or publication misconduct, conflicts of interest, authorship disputes and other aspects of the journal’s operations, including ethical issues. Authors may appeal editorial decisions by writing to ljb@lahoreschool.edu.pk within three weeks of receiving the decision letter. Appeals will be acknowledged within five working days, and the editors aim to resolve them within six weeks. However, investigations can sometimes take several weeks or more, depending on the nature of the concern or complaint, the availability of relevant data and information, whether multiple authors and papers are involved, and possible involvement of the author’s institution or other external parties.

Complaints relating to journal policies, editorial staff, or publication ethics may also be submitted to the same email address. All complaints are acknowledged within 5 working days and investigated fairly, with a written response provided to the complainant upon conclusion of the investigation. The Lahore Journal of Business (LJB) is committed to continuously improving its processes based on feedback and experiences related to complaints and appeals.
